spacerVolunteers are important to Erik’s Ranch – from the community and elsewhere. That’s why we’ll encourage voluntourism – volunteering vacations where people visit the Ranch to be active in our cause during their stay. Our voluntourists will choose from a long list of possible ways they can use their time and talent to “give back”: assisting with pack rides into the Gallatin National Forest, supporting the riding program, working in the greenhouse, helping residents develop their artistic abilities, landscaping and more. Through this interaction at Erik’s Ranch, they’ll get to know our residents and appreciate the important work they do to personally make our operation successful.

There will also be opportunities for families with autistic children to simply come and enjoy the Ranch, its activities, accepting environment and beautiful Paradise Valley surroundings. Parents and siblings may join them or simply enroll them in day programming recreation and activities, allowing a rare free day of relaxing time to themselves.
